Anything and Everything about Front Doors!

A follow up to a pretty gray door…

A little while back I featured this pretty door

After featuring the door, I received several reader requests for the door color.

Since I FIRMLY believe all front owners should rejoice every time they see their door, I felt, as a Front Door Freak, it was my obligation to hunt this color down for the kind folks that reached out to me.

So, I went about contacting the folks that first published the door, Blackband Home & Design. They very kindly got right back to me and said the door and its color was chosen by the home builder and they encouraged me to contact them. The folks at Blackband were very kind indeed.

I have contacted the builder and…wah, wah, wah…no response.

I hate that.

Anyway, since I take it as my Freak duty to find this color for my readers, I took out my own Benjamin Moore fan deck and tried to color match as best I could.

Believe me, I know how completely unreliable this method is, given the differences in computer screens and all, but it’s the best I could do.

So my best guess is the color could be Benjamin Moore’s “Cumulus Cloud”.

Please be aware, even if the builder had gotten back to me with the exact color used, it is still no guarantee that it will look the same on your door.

Things like lighting, plants and house color will inflect your color choice.

So, my advice is to head over to your local paint store, grab the “Cumulus Cloud” paint chip and a few others and bring them home. Tape them up to your front door and see what strikes you.

Good luck!

Too funny, we have gotten so many questions on the paint color used as well!! We have asked but never heard back on the color used, after recently doing some of our own research I **think** it might be Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter. Not positive but 80% sure?! Hope that helps :)
